On Friday, November 8, 2024, Leona Takahashi gave a keynote speech at the 1st RCGS Asian Entertainment Conference held at the Ritsumeikan Shochiku Studio, located within the Shochiku Kyoto Film Studio—commonly known as "Uzumasā." The session was also broadcast live via Zoom.
Takahashi said, "It's a great pleasure to speak about games in this place that has shaped Japanese entertainment since the Taisho era. It's also meaningful that this is Shochiku's historic ground, where our company has been helping in recent initiatives including those at Tokyo Game Show. Announcing this on my 40th birthday adds a personal connection."
The event was hosted by RCGS, the Ritsumeikan Center for Game Studies, Japan's only academic institution dedicated to game research with a history of over 10 years, and co-hosted by the Sasakawa Peace Foundation.
